m-Struts®
Our m-Struts® (mechanical spring struts) are designed for a long life while maintaining consistent, repeatable loads. m-Struts® are the ideal choice to replace conventional gas struts in difficult no-maintenance environments and wide temperature ranges.
Our range of m-Struts® (mechanical spring struts) includes standard m-Struts® with our without extension, and High Load m-Struts®.
Our standard type m-Struts® (Mechanically Powered Struts) function like conventional gas struts but without seals to fail or gas and oil that may leak.
This makes them ideal for no-maintenance applications and performance in extreme cold and hot temperature climates or near caustic gas and liquid chemicals. These struts offer robust compression
- Steel models have Nitride protection and have a black surface.
- Stainless steel models have a plain finish and offer greater corrosion protection.
End fittings are not attached to our m-Struts®. Please be sure to select the number of end fittings you need per cylinder.
m-Struts® Application
m-Struts® are suitable for soiled and dusty areas and in extremely cold, hot (400°F/205°C+) or humid temperature ranges as found in the medical, pharmaceutical or agricultural industry, for example, in cold chambers, medical lab equipment doors, or off-road equipment hoods and hatches. Further, as m-Struts® are used for motion control and dampening, they are suitable for emergency exits, lowering ramps, ground access hatches or roof access or dropdown hatches.
