How it all began
The company is founded as distribution company Boucke & Co. Ltd in 1961. The product range comprises forged components for the automotive industry. Jürgen Schlabach enters the company in 1972 and die springs, bushings, guide posts and wear plates are taken up into the programme. In 1979 the company is renamed, “Febrotec Vertriebsgesellschaft Neuzeitlicher Werkzeug- und Maschinenbauelemente mbH”, "Febrotec Sales Company for Modern Tool and Machine Construction Elements". The origin of Febrotec is a blending of the words Federn-Bronze-Technik, "Springs-Bronze-Technology".
1992 - 1996
In 1992 Febrotec enters cooperation with Associated Spring SPEC Ltd., and expands its product range to include compression springs, extension springs, disc springs and washers. In addition to all types of standard springs, Febrotec starts with custom-made products and the use of special materials.
